Residents of Pudong's Sanlin area, next to the Expo site, were dazzled by the "Dance America!" troupe from the USA Pavilion yesterday. The vibrant dances took the audience through America's modern history in varied forms from hip hop, voguing, disco, Latin, ballroom, jitterbug to tap.
The "Dance America!" cast was selected from hundreds of candidates. The final cast of 10 dancers came from Miami, Los Angeles, Detroit, and other US cities.
The US dance troupe also performed at the Guangzhong residential area in the city's Hongkou District today.
