Visitors to the Russia Pavilion are invited to explore a fascinating world of architecture through children's eyes.
From tractor-like theaters, residential buildings in the shape of trams and ships, to libraries looking like book shelves, and structures covered with musical-instrument-like water pipes, architects of Rostov Oblast, a federal subject of Russia, are showing their rich imagination.
Although these buildings are models at present, some are already taking shape in Rostov where old buildings dating from 1950s to 1980s are being renovated and decorated in bright colors. Their electricity and heating systems will also be improved.
The project to breathe new life into old buildings will be completed in five to seven years. The exhibition at the Russia Pavilion will run for three weeks.
