A nine-year-old boy from Stavanger, Norway, took the crown of a slogan contest about what makes cities better to live in with his contribution "Green lungs create happy children."
The Norway Pavilion in April invited Norwegian school children and adults to submit slogans which should fit well with its theme of "Norway, Powered by Nature."
The slogan created by Richard Cornelius, the winner, was selected because it touched upon the importance of keeping green areas in cities for the future generations, said Arild Blixrud, Norway's commissioner general for World Expo 2010.
The boy toured the Expo with his family members at the invitation of the Norway Pavilion.
Meanwhile, the pavilion welcomed its 2 millionth visitor this afternoon. Liu Meixiang from Anhui Province received a gift package and was treated to some Norwegian delicacies.
The package included books on Norwegian culture and architecture as well as souvenirs of the pavilion.
