Musical treat at Denmark Pavilion

Two talented Danish choirs yesterday soothed visitors' nerves with their beautiful voices at the Denmark Pavilion.

Danish songs were sounded by the Skanderborg Girls Choir and the Morten Boerup School Choir, attracting a large number of visitors.

The Danish choirs were on their way home from this year's 6th World Choir Games held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, the largest choir competition in the world.

Skanderborg Girls Choir consists of 26 girls aged between 16 and 25. The choir was established in 2001 in the small town Skanderborg in central Denmark. Their repertory is diverse, with an emphasis on classical music, while there are also lighter genres such as gospel, musicals, popular music and Danish songs.

Morten Boerup School Choir is a more rhythmic choir which consists of 40 girls aged 12 to 16. It was established in 1956. The girls sing anything from Danish songs to classical works. As for the rhythmic line of the repertory, there is gospel, musicals and popular music.
