Today is the Kyrgyzstan Day at the World Expo and an official celebration was held at the Expo Center, attended by Kyrgyzstan Minister of Economic Development Emil Umetaliev and China's Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping.
"The Expo 2010 fully displays the progress and development of cities across the world and promotes exchange and cooperation among countries," said Umetaliev.
"Kyrgyzstan serves as a link between China and central Asia. Kyrgyzstan and China have witnessed sound cooperation over the years," he said, adding that the two countries still have huge potentials to further their economic and trade cooperation.
He hoped Kyrgyzstan's exhibition at the Expo would help Chinese people learn more about the country.

The Kyrgyzstan Pavilion in Zone A resembles a yurt, a common shelter for nomadic people. The round shape of the yurt symbolizes harmonious coexistence between nomadic people and the nature.
Bishkek, the capital, is industrialized but highly livable with large green areas as shown in videos and photos in the pavilion.
