Brief Introduction
Harbin Jihua Ski Resort is in the Binxi National Forest Park, and it is about 38 kilometers from Harbin. It is surrounded by mountains, and the scenery is good. The area receives heavy snowfall, and there is snow for about 150 days a year. The surrounding mountains shelter the ski park.

There are ski routes of all kinds for various skiers. There are beginners’, intermediate, and advanced trails, straight routes, half-pipe snowboard tracks and a special sled route. In all, there are about 15 routes. The longest ski route is 2,300 meters long, and the beginners’ trail is 100 meters long. The ski park has 2 snow-packing machines and 12 snow making machines. There are 10,000 snow suits available. There are three 3 trams and 9 towlines. The ski park can receive 5,000 at one time and 10,000 people in one day. Ski resort has a school with 80 ski instructors. In addition, there are snowmobiles, sleds and snow tires available for use.
Hotel
The Jihua base service center has a 4-star international rating. The trails all lead to the base or are near the base. It has a floor area of 15,000 square meters, and is said to be the largest single domestic ski center building. It is has an European style and is well equipped and elegantly decorated. There are a total of 66 guest rooms, including 4 deluxe suites, 43 standard double rooms, 9 quad guest rooms, and 10 triple guest rooms. The hotel can accommodate 300 guests. There is an elegant dining hall and private dining rooms. The base’s dining facilities can serve 1,000 guests at a time. In addition, the center can cater for conferences of all sizes. The biggest meeting room can seat 1,000 people. Surrounded by scenic mountains, the Jihua base building looks simple but imposing.
Ski Tips:
- The best time to visit is in January, February, March, and December
- When you are on the slopes and want to take a rest, you are advised to stay off the ski trails and watch for the other skiers. Stay alert for safety's sake.
