More than 200 officials and businessmen gathered at the Belgium-EU Pavilion today to discuss trade development between China and European countries.
China is a fast-developing exporter to Europe and China's investment projects in Europe are very influential, said Karel de Gucht, European Commissioner for Trade. The healthy and sustainable development of trade between China and Europe can drive the growth of the world’s economy, he noted, adding that China and Europe are committed to creating a fair trading environment under the backdrop of globalization.
China's Vice Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng said the Europe 2020 and China's 12th Five-Year Plan would further the cooperation of the two sides in high-tech and low-carbon economy. He wished a brighter and better future of Sino-European economic and trade cooperation.
