Cori Rist apologized toElin Nordegren for her affair with Tiger Woods.
“I’m sorry for her pain. I hate that I’m a part of it,” the 31-year-old Rist told the Today show. “I had no idea it would be like this. I can only imagine the pain she’s feeling now, and I’m sorry.”
She said that she said that she does not consider Woods to be an honest man.
She said she got caught up in the affair with Woods, who she says told her that his marriage was on the rocks, and that he was only staying married for appearances. She said she realized that was a lie after seen photos of him and his wife together. She ended the relationship.
She met Woods in 2006 when they were in the same New York nightclub. She is a former model and stay at home mom of a 7-year-old boy. She teared up during the Today interview when she spoke about how the news of the affair has affected her son.
