Overview
The pavilion façade is of an abstract style with the crude and primitive interior, which reveals the most genuine charm of Congo-Kinshasa in a natural and pristine environment. The main area is arranged around an impressive mine, abstract and exaggerate in appearance and rich in color. The exhibition in this area features ‘Congo-Kinshasa – Impression’ and ‘Congo- Kinshasa – Reproduction’. The mine represents the rich mineral resources of Congo-Kinshasa, on which there paste many pictures echoing the theme of the pavilion. ‘Congo-Kinshasa – Impression’, which starts from the ‘resources’, displays the country’s geographical scenery and historical background through texts, images and models. ‘Congo- Kinshasa – Reproduction’ centered around ‘human being’ reproduces the real living environment and customs of habitants in Congo-Kinshasa through real objects and reproduced scenes. The theme of the Secondary Area is ‘Congo-Kinshasa – Development’. This area displays some symbolic monuments and statues, which show the development progress of Congo-Kinshasa’s cities and invite visitors to envision the bright future of this country.
