The Red Hill at the city center is the symbol of Urumqi and a unique and spectacular part of the Urumqi landscape. The hill is made up of impressive red rocks. It stretches 1.5 kilometers from east to west and is 1 kilometer wide.

Erdaoqiao market is the largest retail and wholesale market for ethnic minority goods in Xinjiang.  Night scene at the market is especially interesting. The whole area is lit up with colorful lights creating a very impressive scene. Erdaoqiao turns into a place bustling with trade in foods, handicrafts together with and dancing and all sorts of activities.

Nestling high in the Tianshan Mountains, 115 kilometers west of Urumqi, the superlatively beautiful Heavenly Lake lies 1980 meters above sea level and is hemmed in by the towering snow-capped Bagda Peak. South Pasture is located 60 kilometers away from Urumqi city which is about 2 hours drive. It is a vast natural area with fascinating scenery.
