The area otherwise called as Binhe Park is the newly constructed waterfront scenic area. it runs from the Yantan Old Bridge in the east to the Xiuchuan Hetan in the west, over 20 kilometers long. Along this beautiful strip, visitors can find many fascinating places of interest including the elegant gardens of south China, delicate sculptures, willow-embraced pavilions, corridors and so on.

At the foot of the Baita Mountain, the Zhongshan Bridge is the symbol of Lanzhou City for its majestic looks and uniqueness. The bridge was first built under the reign of the Ming Dynasty. The Qing rulers expanded and reconstructed the bridge to its current size and style at the cost of huge funds.

The Water-wheel Park at the west side of the Binhe Road, to the west of the Yellow River Mother Sculpture, is another highlight along the Yellow River in the city. The unique-shaped Water Wheel has a long history and the first reference to it appeared in the Ming Dynasty. It is an ancient device that uses flowing or falling water to create power by means of a set of paddles mounted around a wheel. The force of the water moved the paddles, and the consequent rotation of the wheel is transmitted to machinery via the shaft of the wheel.

When traveling Lanzhou, the Baitashan Mountain is absolutely not missed. The Baictashan Mountain is part of the Baitashan Park in the north of the city. In the mountain there are three impressive building complexes. At the summit of the mountain towers the White Pagoda which explains the mountain's name. The pagoda is eye-striking and elegant with its white body.

Five Springs Mountain Park is located within the Five Springs Mountain at the foot of the Guanglan Mountain. The park is well-known for its tranquil and beautiful scenery with lush forest, gurgling springs, a lot of ancient temples. Wuquan means five springs in English and it got the name from the five springs in the here namely, Ganlu, Juyue, Mozi, Hui, Meng. This area has became a resort for the rich over 2,000 years ago.

This sculpture is the best of its kind in China. The whole sculpture contains that of a mother and a baby. The mother with long hair, slim figure, lying on the undulate water looks happy and kind. On her breast hold a small kid who bear naive smile. The sculpture connotes that the Yellow River has nourished generations of Chinese.

Lying in Yongjing County with half a day's distance from Lanzhou via car, Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves is one of the best-preserved collections of Buddhist cave art in all of China.
