More than 100,000 visitors have benefited from their stamp collecting tour of the Urban Best Practices Area since a package of policies encouraged more attendance to the Puxi site, Expo organizers said yesterday.

Zhao Kejia, a university teacher from Hunan Province, became the 100,000th visitor to get a copy of the City Name Card brochure to collect stamps and change them for reserve tickets to designated national pavilions in Pudong.

Performance turned the Lithuania Pavilion into a sea of joy this afternoon as the pavilion celebrated the coronation of its first King Mindaugas in 1253.

About 10,000 visitors received a crown from the pavilion as a present.

The design of the pavilion came from flowers in bud, symbolizing a vigorous, prosperous and booming country and its cities. The exhibition centers on the success stories of urban development, architectural and cultural heritage, natural protection, people's achievements, sports and scientific development, among others.

The European Commission announced Monday that it will invest 10 million euros in Greenstar Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Private Equity Fund, the first energy efficiency-focused private equity fund in China.

Marcio Pereira Zimmermann, Brazil's Minister of Mines and Energy, talked about Brazil's practices in using clean and renewable energy, Brazil's regulation in energy use, evolution of Brazilian energy sources, energy planning, power generation expansion and transmission system, new technologies, energy efficiency, nuclear energy and energy security, at the forum entitled "The Energy that Moves Brazilian Cities."
