Shuduhai Lake is located 35kilometers to the northeast of the Zhongdian county seat and it is more then 10 kilometers away from the Bitahai Lake.

Clear water, lovely fish, herds of cows and sheep, and surrounded by lots of primitive forests is the truly description of Shuduhai Lake. The lake water is so limpid that people could see the cracked-stomach fish produced in the lake whose colour is golden and there is a crack line along its stomach.

Feilai Temple is located around 10 kilometers away from Deqen Town. Feilai Temple means Guibading Temple in Tibetan. It has a legend that the temple was built by one Sakyamuni Buddha who flying to here from Tibet. It is the place for Tibetans to pay homage to the sacred mountains and it is said that circumambulators must get the key in Qidengge. Circumambulators who are in inside circumambulation must get key in Yongzongbajiu Temple at the bank of Lancang River besides the key in Qidengge. In recent years, Buddhist activities of various kinds are all held at Wulongding Culture Square and Feilai Temple.

Yubeng Village is a beautiful and miraculous place. When walking in the village, tourists will have a sense of walking at Shangri-la. Located at the back of the Meli Snow Mountains, it is surrounded by mountains. Because of its unique location, there are only 20 households living here and connects outside world only with one small road. Yubeng Village is divided into upper village and lower village. From upper village, tourists can go to the base camp of the Joint Sino-Japanese,while from the lower village, tourists can go to Yubeng Waterfall, Ancient Seal Character and other scenic spots.

Mingyong Glacier is located in Deqen county, northwest of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province and is 48 kilometers from the county seat. The Mingyong Glacier derives from Mount Kang Karbo, the main peak of the Meli Snow Mountains. They wind down along the valley, their ice tongues stretching down to the 2,600-meter forest area, just over 800 meters away from the waters of the Langcang River. The natural proto-ecology around the glaciers is well preserved, representing the diverse natural and geographical characteristics of the xerothermic valley of the Langcang River. According to research, the Mingyong Glacier is the low altitude glacier of the lowest latitude in the world. The whole length of the Mingyong Glacier is about 4 kilometers with the width of 30 meters to 80 meters. In the past years, however, the Mingyong Glacier has vanished gradually.

Haba Snow Mountain stands 120 kilometers to the southeast of the Zhongdian county seat and Tiger Leaping Gorge is located between the Haba Snow Mountain and the Yulong Snow Mountain.

Meili Snow Mountain has long been famous for its main peak, Kang Karpo Peak, which, having an elevation of 6,470 meters (21,221 feet) above sea level, is the highest in Yunnan. Surrounded by 13 lesser peaks, which are the subject of an enchanting tale. Kang Karpo Peak, meaning White Snow Mountain in Tibetan language, is extolled as the "most beautiful mountain in the world."

This is a small Tibetan village nestling along the popular adventure route from Deqing to Zhongdian in Yunnan Province. Nixi Village is the most "Shangri-la" part of Shangri-la. A tiny village standing by green grassland on which flocks of yaks, sheep and horses graze gives a sense of timeless tranquillity. That's the amazing natural beauty of the village. However, the Nixi Pottery Village is by no means a one-hit-wonder. It is well known for the century-old art, making pottery. Around 70 out of the 100 families in the village are engaged in this traditional art. Many of them have built pottery workshops. It's amazing to watch the locals processing the item. The item is purely hand-made which makes it unique and precious. The raw material clay, is taken from a mountain three kilometres away. 

Baimang Snow Mountain is the biggest and the highest nature reserve in Yunnan province. The highest peak of the mountain is covered with snow all year around. The area of 180,000 hectares that surrounds mountain is a nature reserve, where complete vertical sight of virgin forest and rare plants and animals could be found. Commonly, tourists climb the mountain from the Bengzilan of the Jinshajiang Canyon and go down the mountain from the mouth of wind and snow at 4,500meters. From December to April, Baimang Snow Mountain was covered by thick white snow, the road doesn't open to the traffic, but pass freely in summer and autumn each year, thus summer is the best season to enjoy the spectacular view of the snow mountain. The nature reserve is controlled by southwest monsoon and is influenced by the current coming from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the climate of the snow mountain has great difference in vertical, forming the typical multilevel climate, the temperature slows down gradually from south to north with the yearly precipitation is 6000 mm. Praised as the Kingdom of , the nature reserve of the Baimang Snow Mountain has the biggest virgin forest, which is a well preserved natural integration. Baimang Snow Mountain is praised as the Kingdom of Animals and Plants, Firs are the essences of the nature reserve, vast expanse of forest presents a spectacular view to tourists. Located 101 kilometers northwest of the Zhong dian county seat, the Baishui Terrace is one of the most important scenic spots of the Zhongdian county, Diqing Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Snugly situated on a mountain slope 2,380 meters (about 7,806 feet) above sea level, Baishui Terrace, 140 meters (about 459 feet) in length and 160 meters (about 525 feet) in width, is one of the biggest such terraces in China. The spring water runs down from the top row by row to the bottom, like a white terraced field.

Bitahai Lake is regarded as a pearl of the Plateau, the most charming view is the tower-like hill and this clear, peaceful water. Such the particular water, flowers and animals form two peculiar wonders of the Bitahai Lake: Fish Drunk by Azalea and An Old Bear Catches Fish.
